The Girl Who Married a Snake
Fables reflect the culture and values of a society so while they were originally used to teach the community the value of what was considered right, they are now anthropologic documents that teach us about the past and explain a lot about the present.
The staged fables in this body of work are collaborations between myself, the locals acting out the scene and those helping me to source props, costumes and appropriate landscapes. Their participation in the recreation is key in creating a series that combines historic culture and tradition with the present day.
